CLASSES
STORYTIME
Story time is led by Emily Terte, the Creative Director of The
Moxie Spot. She has years of experience working with young children
as an elementary school teacher and librarian. She combines her love
of books, puppets and children to give children (and parents) an
extraordinary story time experience.

KIDS YOGA
Yoga is a great way for kids to connect with themselves and
others. Following a story or singing a song, kids learn sun
salutations and other basic yoga positions by becoming a monkey, a
dog, a tree or a mountain. Using their bodies and imagination will
help them improve their concentration, body coordination, and most of
all have fun! Parents can assist and help kids get into some of the
poses and even join in the animal parade!
Kids yoga is taught by Mary Telesco. She is trained in Anusara
Yoga, and has additional experience working with children for many
years in a Volunteer Literacy Program for elementary school kids.

KIDS MUSIC UNDERGROUND w/ John Carlin
Each class has 10-12 children, accompanied by a parent/caregiver.
Activities include singalong, small and big action songs, freestyle
movement and dancing, and percussion/instrument play. No need to be
bashful - it's all about having fun and making music with your child,
so if you're willing to really participate (and be silly), your child
will benefit greatly.
As the leader of the band 700Miles, John Carlin has been a
respected artist throughout the downtown NYC music scene for more than
a decade. Drawing from his diverse musical/theatrical history, his
remarkable affinity for all things child-related, and his own
experience as a single parent, John has developed an exuberant and
heartfelt approach to early childhood musical awareness.
Wednesdays 9:30-10:30a, 10:30-11:30a
Fridays 9:30-10:30a, 10:30-11:30a
